Eva Longoria...The New Face of Bebe Sport

Eva Longoria Bebe Sport

Actress Eva Longoria has become the new spokes model for Bebe Sport, the athletic wear division of Bebe apparel. In these recently released ads, Eva definitely looks fabulous. She often looks as though she's trying too hard, but in these shots, Eva's personality and beauty come across effortlessly. The photos are fun and flirty, and all Eva. As for the clothes, I don't know about anyone else, but I know I don't look nearly this great in work out gear, lol. These photos are definitely motivation to hit the gym.

Bangs...As Done by Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci - Bangs

I've always been a fan of Christina Ricci, ever since she played Wednesday in the Adam's Family movies. And I've always thought she was fashion forward girl, one who's always managed to look stylish. The only thing that's held her back in the past has been her huge forehead (we've all got our flaws, I have a huge head, lol). Well, Christina has remedied that little problem with a new accessory, bangs! Christina premiered her new look at the Samsonite launch of their new black label. I think she looks cute, and has proven that bangs will be a big hit with the celebs this summer.

Covergirls...Christina Aguilera Does Nylon

Christina Aguilera - Nylon Magazine

Christina Aguilera graces the latest cover of Nylon magazine. It's yet another photo shoot in which Xtina doesn't rely on her now signature red lipstick, the photos in this layout are reminiscent of the old Christina, before her vintage makeover. Christina often exudes sex appeal, but sometimes it seems as though she's trying too hard. In these photos I think she's borderline, lol. Despite that, she looks beautiful, and it's nice to see her change it up a bit.

ANTM Cycle 8...Episode 5, Dude Looks Like A Lady

ANTM Episode 5 - Jaslene

As I watched last night's episode of America's Next Top Model, I couldn't help but thinking, "Haven't we been here before?" This week's challenge (the girls dressing up as guys), was basically a rehashing of last cycle's episode where the girls dressed up as famous couples. Personally, I don't see what the point is in seeing how well the girls can pretend to be guys. Androgyny is one thing, but when you blast on a potential model because she doesn't make a good guy, it's pointless. Clearly Tyra and the gang have run out of ideas. And the photos this little challenge produced, completely sup par. It was Jaslene who again had the best picture this week, but for a girl who has such hard features, did anyone doubt she'd look best as a man? Perhaps I'm being too hard on Tyra and I'm expecting too much from this show. But in the past they've produced some great photos, I'd just like to see the trend continue. What did you guys make of this week's episode? Did I completely miss the point?

On a side note, can I say that I was really impressed with Natasha, lol.

Runway v. Celebway

Paula Patton in Gucci

While both actress Paula Patton, and the Gucci model where this dress well, I think I'll give it to Paula. I like both the looser fit and slightly longer length on Paula's dress. Plus, I think Paula's shoes are a better match with the dress than those of the model.

Jennifer Lopez in Lanvin

First off, only Jennifer Lopez could attempt to pull of a look like this. To wear this dress, you must have just as much style as you have attitude, and Miss Lopez definitely has both. Again I'm gonna go with the celebrity on this one. You'd think that Jennifer's necklace would clash with the neckline of her dress, but surprisingly it works extremely well on her. Ultimately, I think what sets Jennifer apart is the attitude in which she wears this dress.

Lindsay Lohan in Chanel

Here we see Lindsay Lohan wearing two of her favorite things-- Chanel, and her Miu Miu mary janes. This is one pairing in which I think the model wears the look best. While Lindsay's mary janes and black stockings don't look bad, the dress looks much better on the model paired with bare legs and open toe shoes. I also think the model's updo allows the dress to be seen. The sequin detailing on Lindsay's dress is completely lost in her hair.

Mischa Barton in Ralph Lauren

Actress Mischa Barton tends to like dresses like this gold Ralph Lauren frock-- drop waists, and a loose fit. Here, I don't think either the model or Mischa best each other. I guess it just comes down to styling. Does the dress look better with Micha's round toe pumps, or with the model's strappy heels? I think I'll give it to Mischa, but this one is really just too close to call.

Did I get it right? Who do you think looks best?

I Want That!...Lindsay Lohan's Mary Janes

Lindsay Lohan - Miu Miu Mary Janes
Ever since Lindsay Lohan became the new face of Miu Miu, she's been seen everywhere sporting these Miu Miu Vernice Chic Mary Janes. Surprisingly, the shoe is very versatile. Until I'd seen Lindsay wear these shoes with so many different looks, I hadn't thought mary janes could be worn with almost anything. To me the only place Lindsay goes wrong is with the black and white Chanel dress, and even then perhaps it's her black stockings that are so distracting. Despite any personal problems that Lindsay may have, she's almost always fashion forward. She (or more likely her stylist) has a great fashion sense. Lindsay's shoes are $430, and I don't know about you, but I can't afford that, lol. So I've found some low end alternatives for us to choose from. Just click on the pictures.

I'm Leaving on A Jet Plane...

Hi guys, I'll be spending the day traveling from Louisiana back to DC. Sadly, spring break is over and it's time to get back to school, but fortunately summer break will be here soon enough, lol. I probably won't get to update, but if I'm feeling refreshed ;), I may drop you all a line.

Covergirls...Scarlett Johansson Spices Up Vogue

Scarlett Johansson - Vogue Magazine

Everyone's favorite sex symbol, Scarlett Johansson, graces the cover of the newest issue of Vogue Magazine. I don't know exactly when Scarlett blew up, but she's everywhere these days. From her Reebok clothing line, to her being spotted during Paris' Fashion Week, to being the face of Louis Vuitton, it seems a day doesn't go by without seeing Miss Johansson. In this spring issue of Vogue, the 40s vintage trend is alive and well. Scarlett is styled as an Old Hollywood starlet. Scarlett looks older than her 22 years (in a good way), so this vintage look works for her amazingly well. I've only seen one of Scarlett's movies, so I don't know if the hype is to be believed, but Scarlett definitely looks beautiful in these photos.

This Is How A Real Batch Does Community Service...Miss Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell - Community Service

Here is the Grande Batch of them all Noami Campbell, as she leaves her last day of community service at the New York City Department of Sanitation. I don't think most women wear Dolce & Gabbana gowns to any job, let alone a job at the Sanitation Department. During her week long stint as a civil servant Naomi has consistently worn fabulous outfits to work, with this little number being the fiercest of them all. It's rumored that famed photographer Steven Klein has been taking pictures of Miss Campbell as she does her community service, for an upcoming issue of W Magazine. With a dress as gorgeous as this, you've got to be wondering wear Naomi was heading to. Well as she left her last day of work, she got into a waiting Rolls Royce, and made her way to Elton John's 60th birthday soirée.

New Spring Hair Trend...Bangs!

Halle Berry - Bangs

Halle Berry hosted Canada's Much Music to promote her new movie, Perfect Strangers, and she was sporting a new look-- bangs. Halle is always fashion forward, and rarely make a wrong fashion choice. I feel like the same trends continually rotate, and just come back in new forms, and this bangs trend is no exception. But I don't mind, because I love bangs! I love this look on Halle, it's fresh and makes her look younger. It's so unfair how she can rock almost any hairstyle, long hair, short hair, bangs, no bangs, lol. If only we could all be so fortunate.

Top Model Getting Her Model On

Eva Marcille - Monarchy Fashion Show

Here we are at cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model, so that means apparently there are seven previous top models out there. But when was the last time you actually saw a top model modeling? Sure the winner of cycle 6, Danielle Evans, was seen on the catwalk for Baby Phat during New York's fashion week, but where is everyone else? Well it seems that former Top Model winner, Eva Marcille (formerly Pigford) is trying to make something of her top model status. Here she is on the runway for Monarchy during L.A. Fashion Week. Eva was always a favorite of mine, and she was one of the few winners of the ANTM that I could believe as a high fashion model. It's nice to see her trying to do her thing, and I hope she has more success.

ANTM Cycle 8...Dead Alive

Dionne

This week's episode of America's Next Top Model had the girls being posed as murder victims for their weekly photo challenge. Apparently the girls enjoyed playing dead, because this week they all took relatively great pictures. Ultimately it was poor Felicia who got sent home, and I was sad to see her go. Clearly Felicia was one of my favorites, but you know Tyra wasn't going to let someone who's been constantly compared to her win the competition. Out of the remaining girls, I can't choose one who would actually have an impact on the fashion scene. We'll see who wins in the end.

Covergirls...Reese Witherspoon does Harper's

Reese Witherspoon - Harper's Bazaar

Actress Reese Witherspoon is looking fabulous in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar. Divorce is definitely treating Reese well; ever since announcing her separation from Ryan Phillipe, she's been looking excellent. Reese was on everyone's best dressed list during awards season, and now she's looking great in Harper's. The photo shoot has an Old Hollywood feel to it, more proof that the current trend of old school/40s vintage isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I'm not that big of a Reese fan, but you have to give credit where credit is due, lol. Her style game has definitely been stepped up. I don't know if she got a new stylist, but whatever she's doing she needs to keep it up.

Inspired Style...Rachel Bilson

We all know Rachel Bilson hardly ever makes a wrong fashion choice, and here she is with yet another great look. This black and white blouse paired with skinny black pants is a trendy yet simple look. If you want to make this look more casual, just substitute the black pumps for round toe flats. No matter how you choose to wear it, this is a perfect spring look.

Every Girl Should Own...A Pair of Gold Pumps

Gold Pump 1
If you're looking to ad instant glam to any outfit, a pair of gold heels is the way to go. To take a jean and tee look from day to night, gold heels will add a more formal flair. Combining gold heels with a fitted pencil skirt is the perfect way to be conservatively sexy. And of course with warmer weather, a pair of gold strappy sandals would go perfect with a flirty sundress. No matter which way you decide to wear your gold heels, they're definitely a wardrobe staple.

Louis Vuitton, You've Got to be Kidding Me!

Louis Vuitton's latest much hyped creation is the Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork Bag. It's design contains pieces of 15 of Louis Vuitton's most iconic bags, and it was designed by Marc Jacobs. Only about two dozen of the bags were made, and all two dozen have been sold. But the outrageous part of this story-- the bag costs $45, 000! Yes, it costs $45,000, and two dozen of them have been sold. There's no word on who bought the bags, but I'm sure we'll be seeing some young starlet carrying one. Perhaps Lindsay or Paris, who are notorious bag whores.

Personally I find the bag to be kind of hideous. It was clearly a statement piece, something to get reporters, and fashion addicts talking. But we all have different fashion tastes, and if you think this bag is divine, and would like to own one, you have a couple of options. Louis Vuitton is coming out with a Patchwork collection of denim patchwork bags priced from $3000-$5000. And if that's still out of your price range, just do like Anna Van Pragh, a reporter for London's The Daily Mail, did. "It took me just four hours and ($222) to buy fake versions of the separate bags," she wrote. "For just ($77), a local seamstress cut them up and sewed them together."

What do you all think of this bag? Is it a beauty or a beast? And if you ever found yourself to be ridiculously rich, would you pay this much money for a handbag?

ANTM Cycle 8...Sweet Dreams

Brittany

This week's episode of America's Next Top Model was the always must see makeover episode. In past seasons this episode has provided the most drama of the show-- girls crying, girls quitting the show, girls obsessing over their hair. In the drama department, this season's makeover ep was kind of a let down. Yeah Jael had a breakdown, but any of you who've had sewn in extensions or sat eight hours getting braids, know that her tear session was deserved. The makeovers were definitely upgrades all around, although for some of the girls the difference was minimal. Chanel at Hip Candy has the before and after pics for those who missed it.

This week's photo challenge had the girls play dress up (even though they were completely nude) as desserts. I think this is one of the worst photo shoots I've seen on ANTM. It wasn't the girls, overall they're pictures were great. But, the set and props looked cheap as hell. I'm going to need Tyra to do better. Despite these drawbacks, Brittany managed to pull off one hell of a photo. I could definitely see this as an ad in some magazine. As always, for those of you who missed the episode. Check out FourFour, Rich does a hilarious recap every Monday.

Covergirls...Christina Ricci does Mean Magazine

Christina Ricci - Mean Magazine

So it's actually Christina Ricci and Samuel Jackson on the cover of Mean, but it's Christina who looks exceptionally fabulous, and slightly Asian, lol. The photo shoot was done as press for their movie Black Snake Moan, and I think this is the best I've ever seen Christina. Our little Wednesday Adams has definitely grown up. Clearly this 'Old Hollywood/40s vintage' trend isn't going away any time soon. Christina definitely has an old school vibe going on in this shoot, and just like the other Xtina, this look works well for Miss Ricci.

Updates...On The Way!

I'm sure you guys are wondering where are today's updates. Well, they're on their way. I've spent the day in the airport traveling from DC, where I go to school, back to Louisiana, where I call home :D . So look out for updates later tonight.

I Want That!...Beyonce'

Beyonce looks effortlessly chic as she films a commercial for Samsung. Who knew a white tee and jeans could be so fierce. What sets the outfit off is her sky high red suede pumps. If you too have fallen in love, you can own Beyonce's Giuseppe Zanotti pumps for a mere $650. Just place a call to the Giuseppe boutique in NY. Or you can head over to Zappos and get the patent version for $554. For those of us who are on a budget, I've picked out some cheaper alternatives.

Spotlight!...Anthropologie

Anthropologie has to be one of my favorite stores. Think of it as a higher end Urban Outfitters (if Urban could get any more expensive, lol). Anthropologie treats clothes not only as being functional, but also as being works of art. They choose merchandise that is as unique as it is well crafted. Their prices are a tad bit expensive, so either you save up for that special piece, or shop their sales. Anthropologie has great sales!

Trendspotting...Black & White

Black and white is a color combination that's just as classic as it is trendy. It's a look that appears season after season, only getting updated to reflect current trends. For this spring/summer season, black and white has appeared in bold, geometric patterns, mini dresses, and tailored blouse and skirt combinations. This is a combination that never goes out of style, so it's important to look for classic pieces that will carry throughout the seasons. Go for solid pieces-- a black dress, a white blouse-- that can be combined with looks when not being worn during the warm months. But don't be afraid to have fun. It's okay to pick up trendy pieces, like tops with polka dots, or dresses with bows. You never know what trends are going to come back around.

Oops They Did It Again...Another Ad Gets Pulled

Armani Junior

Only a few days after Dolce & Gabbana was forced to pull a controversial ad in Spain, Giorgio Armani is the next major designer that may be forced to do the same. Spanish authorities are in the process of determining whether an Armani Junior ad portrays a child in an improperly sexual manner. The ad in question (shown above) features a little girl wearing a bikini with her arm draped around another little girl. According to Arturo Canalda, head of child interests for Madrid's regional government, parents have complained about the advertisement. "It's an advert where little girls aren't portrayed in the attitude of little girls," he said. They are wearing make-up and they are about six or seven." Is this another case of tasteless advertising? What's your opinion?

Covergirls...Hilary Swank Heats Up Esquire Magazine

Hilary Swank - Esquire

Actress Hilary Swank gets sexed up for the April issue of Esquire magazine. Hilary is no doubt a talented actress, but I don't think she's ever been viewed as a sex symbol. I guess Esquire is trying to change things. The photo spread is really simple. She appears inside the mag wearing only a racerback tee 'dress.' I think the photos are flattering, sometimes Hilary's features can come off strong, but here they're soft (maybe it's photoshop, lol). Nevertheless, I think Hilary looks beautiful.

Honey Magazine...Back on The Block

Honey Magazine

Some of you may remember Honey Magazine. Honey is a magazine dedicated to the issues and lifestyles that define the multi-cultural woman, including fashion and entertainment. Unfortunately, a few years ago Honey had to close its doors. Now under new management, and with a new attitude, Honey Magazine is back. Right now Honey exists only the the web, www.HoneyMag.com, but the actual magazine is scheduled to re-launch next summer.

A few months ago I was contacted by Suzanne Burge, one of the new owners of Honey, about contributing to their website. Of course I said yes, so now you can check out Batch Please! at Honey Magazine. Just head over to their site, click on Style, Street Smarts, and then Batch Please. Or, you could just click here, lol. Right now I've only done one article for them, but there will be more to come. There are great things over at Honey's site, so head over and see what they're all about.

M by Madonna...Watch & Learn

In the first commercial for her M by Madonna line for H&M, Madonna is shown teaching a young girl about fashion, declaring that you don't think about fashion, you just know it. The commercial looks like the print ads, if that makes any sense. If you can spare 44 seconds from your day, check it out for yourself.

Style Profile...Tracee Ellis Ross

Tracee Ellis Ross has an impeccable sense of fashion. With a mother like Diana it's no doubt that Tracee's been around glamour and fabulousness all of her life. It definitely shows in her fashion choices. From her purple and red geometric print dress, to her floral print dress paired with a blue handbag, to her tangerine knee length dress, Tracee rarely goes wrong. Her style is ultra-feminine-- flowing lines, puffed shoulders, and high heels. My favorite aspect of Tracee's style, is how she combines colors. She puts together palettes that are as innovative as they are stylish. I may not have the budget to dress like Tracee, but I'm definitely inspired.

La Lohan Gets Back to...Blonde?!?

Yesterday, I went on and on about how much I liked Lindsay Lohan's new ginger/strawberry blonde hair. Well little did I know, the new color was actually the first step in a two step process to get her hair color back to blonde. After a second trip to the Neil George salon in L.A., Lindsay emerged with a new $400 hair color. I don't know how I feel about this lighter color. It's not too bad, but she looks just like her mother now, lol.

Dolce & Gabbana Back Down

Amidst protests in Italy and Spain, Dolce & Gabbana are withdrawing this ad from circulation. As you can see, the ad features a women being held down by a shirtless man, while other men watch in the background. Feminist groups accuse that the ad depicts 'fantasy rape,' and depicts violence against women.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the duo behind D&G, insist that the ads were not meant to be offensive. They say the ads depict an erotic dream; a sexual game. Dolce & Gabbana ads have alway been racy, and this one is no exception. What do you all think? Did D&G push the limits too far on this one?

Jennifer Hudson...The New Face of Avon

Jennifer Hudson has signed a deal with Avon to become the face of their Imari fragrance brand. As a part of the deal, which was announced on Tuesday, Hudson will be the spokeswoman for Imari, and a new fragrance, Imari Seduction, which is scheduled to be launched in August. The original Imari scent was launched twenty years ago and is Avon's number one women's fragrance. The new fragrance, Imari Seduction will appear in a national print advertising campaign in at least six women's magazines this August.

"We're looking to add a sexy, powerful edge to the brand," said Claudia Poccia, president of Avon U.S. Beauty and global president of Mark, Avon's youth-oriented brand. "We wanted a spokesperson who embodied a youthful spirit and confidence, and Jennifer speaks to a new generation of passionate women trying to achieve their dreams and goals." Hudson was contacted for the position shortly after Dreamgirls was released; company executives felt she embodied Avon's dedication to empowering women.

Of her new role, Jennifer had this to say:
"This is an honor for me and very flattering," Hudson said in a statement Tuesday. "With the success of ‘Dreamgirls' and now an Oscar, it's been an incredible few months. And now, to partner with Avon is really a dream come true for me. It's exciting to be representing the Imari brand, which really embodies confidence and femininity."

It's nice to see Jennifer doing her own thing. With the success of Dreamgirls, and her Oscar win, I'm sure she has a lot of things coming her way.

Where to Shop...Las Vegas

This post is sponsored by Las Vegas Homes

Las Vegas is known for being all about gambling, and partying, and fun-- What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But what you may not know is that Las Vegas is also a hot fashion destination. Cute boutiques, designer flagship stores, and high end outlet malls, Las Vegas has something to suit any fashionista's discerning tastes. If you're a batch heading on a trip to sin city, or plan on one day owning a little Las Vegas real estate, I've picked out a few places you'll be interested in.

Desert Passage at the Aladdin

Designed to appear as a Moroccon bazaar, including a miniature river winding through the shops and murals of a desert oasis, Desert Passage at the Aladdin Casino and Resort caters to those with big budgets as well as those of us who have more restricting finances, lol.

The shopping includes many local boutiques, like Pat Areias. Featuring the work of silversmith Pat Areias, this self titled boutique allows shoppers to create their own belts. You just choose one of Areias' hand crafted belt buckles-- equestrian, mod, art deco--then choose a leather strap, and you're good to go.

Aside from boutiques, Desert Passage also has your not so average mall fare. There's Betsey Johnson, with her eclectic fashion style, and a large Sephora store, where you can find solutions for all your beauty needs.

And if you ever need a break from the shopping, there's always the Stripper 101 classes located in the V theater, which is also found in Desert Passage at the Aladdin.

Fashion Show Mall

Las Vegas' Fashion Show Mall is more of your traditional mall-- if your traditional mall includes The Cloud, a 400-f00t-long canopy suspended over a plaza in front of the mall with large screens that broadcast special events. Fashion Show is anchored by six flagship department stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard's, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's Home, and Nevada's only Nordstrom.

Fashion Show is Vegas' largest shopping destination, with over 10 million visitors annually, and in addition to the six department stores, the center also has over 200 boutique and chain shops. Talulah G is a local favorite, and probably Vegas' best known boutique. They feature emerging fashion labels like Karen Sambos and Crimes and Misdemeanors, but you can also find established brands like Chloe and Sonia Rykiel.

The fashion show moniker isn't just a name either. There are fashion shows at the center throughout the week.

Mandalay Place
Dessert Passage and Fashion Show have stores that cater to every price range. Mandalay Place on the other hand, caters more to the high end crowd. Featuring world class designers and retailers, at Mandalay Place you'll find the latest in fashion and trends.

Mandalay Place is home to Just Cavalli, celebrity favorite Roberto Cavalli's latest concept store, featuring his casual couture collection. For those looking for an L.A. shopping experience, head over to LOOK!, a shopping favorite for both locals and tourists. At LOOK! one can find the latest jeans, trendy tops, and cute dresses. They feature many well known brands, including Citizens of Humanity, Juicy Couture, Seven Jeans, and L.A.M.B.

Mandaly Place can be reached from both the Mandalay Bay resort and casino, and also the Luxor. The 100,000 squae-foot retail center is located on a sky bridge that connects both Mandalay Bay and Luxor.

La Lohan Gets back to Her Roots

Lindsay Lohan goes back to her roots

Lindsay Lohan is the latest celebrity to join the "It's almost summer so I'm going to cut and/or lighten my hair" club. Although she hasn't followed current celebrity trends and cut her locks off, she has gone over to the lighter side, back to her natural ginger hair color. Lindsay was seen leaving the Neil George salon in L.A. sporting her new look. She has worn almost every hair color under the sun--black, blonde, dark brown, burgundy red-- but this particular shade has always been my favorite on Lindsay. What do you think?

What?Huh?...Mary-Kate Olsen

Mary-Kate Olsen

Mary-Kate Olsen was recently seen doing a little late night shopping while in Paris. I'm not even going to discuss her Prada headwrap (yes, it's a designer original), but why is she trotting around Paris looking like a witch, or a vampire? This chick has an interesting fashion sense. About a year ago she was sporting 'hobo chic' now it's all about 'goth couture.' I guess when you're rich as hell, you can do what you want, lol.

Ballin!...And Jigga Gets Richer

Jay-Z Sells Rocawear

Jay-Z has sold his Rocawear clothing brand for $204 million in cash to the Iconix brand group. These are the people who've licensed brands such as Candies, Joe Boxer, and Mudd. Jay-Z could also gain another $35 million in Iconix stock if the brand meets certain performance requirements over the next 3-5 years. If you think Jay's just handing over his clothing brand, don't be dumb, lol. He's still going to be in charge of all product development, marketing and licensing for Rocawer. Of the business deal, Jay had this to say:
"Iconix is pioneering a new brand management model and by combining Rocawear with their platform, my team and I can focus on our strengths in design and lifestyle
marketing." Jay-Z said. "I'm also looking forward to working with Neil Cole and the Iconix organization on other brand development opportunities."

Rocawear's annual retail sales are over $700 million, and Iconix is forecasting that the brand will generate almost $43 million in royalties during the first year of the agreement. This is definitely a very lucrative deal for Mr. Carter, and it doesn't stop here. Iconix and Jay-z have also reached a deal to form a new luxury brand called The Shawn Carter Collection, which will be in stores in 2008. Jay has clearly proven that above all he is a true businessman.

ANTM Cycle 8...Back to School

Jaslene - Weirdo

In last night's episode of America's Next Top Model, the girls went back to school. In their photo shoot each girl had to portray a high school cliche-- the nerd, the cheerleader, the athlete, etc. Overall the photos were much better this time around, and surprisingly Jaslene had the best photo. Her look is so angular in person, you wouldn't think her photos would be that great. Since poor Kathleen got sent home in the first episode, I guess I'm going to have to turn to Russian mail order bride Natasha for my dose of entertainment. But since she was in the bottom two (Samantha was sent home) I may not have her pearls of wisdom much longer. If you missed the episode, check out Rich's high-larious recap at Four Four.

Jessica's Fashion Week Style

When exactly did Jessica Biel become a fashionista? First she made best dressed lists across the 'net after wearing that daringly pink Oscar de la Renta gown at this year's Academy Awards. Now she's been seen dressed just as impeccably during Paris Fashion Week. Jessica, who sat front row at most of the major runway shows, wore pieces whose designers included Giambattista Valli, Chanel, and Stella McCartney. That plum Versace strapless dress paired with nude pumps is just the perfect look. Who knew Mary Camden could put together an ensemble like that?

We all know Christina Aguilera's latest style reinvention has been that of a 40s pin up girl. It's a look that works excellent for her, but I was getting tired of the red lipstick. Fortunately enough for me, lol, Christna was recently seen at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas sporting a new look. She's jumped into the current decade :D . I think this new look is fabulous, it's current but has hints of that 40s vibe. Back during her 'Dirty' days, I never thought I'd look to Christina for fashion inspiration, but I love this new look. Her makeup is great, subtle, but it still makes an impact. This proves that you don't need gimmicks (like constantly wearing red lipstick) to make a fashion statement.

Naomi Bares It All for GQ

Naomi Campbell - GQ 2007

Naomi Campbell might be little bit on the crazy side, but the chick can definitely take a photo. Naomi appears naked on the April cover of the UK version of GQ Magazine. Only strategic letter placement keeps Naomi from being indecently exposed. She's been in the modeling game for over 20 years, yet unlike Tyra, Naomi's managed to remain on the forefront of the fashion scene.

In the article accompanying the photo spread, Naomi is interviewed by former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan. It was the Daily Mirror that Naomi sued in 2001 for invasion of privacy after the paper, and then editor Morgan, printed an article that said she'd attended Narcotics Anonymous. It's been nearly six years, and several legal battles later, and Naomi finally got to turn the tables on her former accuser. In the middle of their interview for the April issue, Naomi took control, and began to interview Morgan. The following is an excerpt from the interview:

Campbell: What do you think of the News of the World reporter who was recently found guilty of tapping the royals' phones? Did you ever allow that when you were there?
Morgan: Well, I was there in 1994-95, before mobiles were used very much, and that particular trick wasn't known about. I can't get too excited about it, I must say. It was pretty well-known that if you didn't change your pin code when you were a celebrity who bought a new phone, then reporters could ring your mobile, tap in a standard factory setting number and hear your messages. That is not, to me, as serious as planting a bug in someone's house, which is what some people seem to think was going on.

Campbell: It's an invasion of privacy, though.
Morgan: It is, yes. But loads of newspaper journalists were doing it. Clive Goodman, the News of the World reporter, has been made the scapegoat for a very widespread practice.

Campbell: So you're defending him?
Morgan: Not defending him, just expressing sympathy for someone who has been made a scapegoat.

Campbell: Would you like it if someone listened to your messages?
Morgan: Oh, they used to do it to me. And no, I didn't like it. But with new technology comes new temptation and new issues. And this has brought the practice out into the open and it won't happen any more - celebrities get a lot more privacy now than they used to.

Clearly, Naomi took this opportunity to be her usual bold self. I'm sure when Pierce Morgan went in to interview Ms. Campbell, he never expected he'd be the interviewee. The complete interview, as well as a photo spread shot by photographer Steven Klein, will be in the April issue of UK GQ.

Britney Gets A Little Retail Therapy

Britney Spears - Retail Therapy

You know whenever I'm feeling a little down, shopping always makes me feel better. And apparently, troubled popstar Britney Spears feels the same way. While Spears has been in rehab at the Promises treatment center in Malibu, she's been doing some heavy duty online shopping at Intuition, an L.A. based fashion boutique. Spears spent over $3000 on purchases including a lavender halter dress by Tart, True Religion denim shorts, a Rory Beca silk tunic dress, and a Suzanne Juul Eternity Shawl. I sincerely pray that Britney's getting better, and if a little retail therapy is helping her get there, then so be it :D . If you'd like have a little therapy of your own, just click the pics and you'll be taken to Intuition. Beware, these items are definitely high-end.

Inspired Style...Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff is definitely growing up! She's not our little Lizzie McGuire anymore, lol. Here she is going out to lunch while she spends some time in London. Her look is perfect for that soon to be here Spring weather. For some of us, it's not quite warm out yet, so we have to hold off on those white pumps. I can't wait for the temps to get past 30 degrees, I'm so much more fashionable in warmer weather ;) . I've also been getting my html game up, so now all you gotta do is click the individual pictures to check how you can achieve Hil's look.

Scarlett Hearts Reebok

Scarlett Johsansson Hearts Reebok

Actress Scarlett Johansson has been fashionably busy. She's been seen sitting front row at runway shows during Paris Fashion Week, and she's the face of Louis Vuitton's spring ad campaign. Scarlett's even dabbling in design herself. She's teamed up with athletic apparel company Reebok to create a line of 'lifestyle apparel.' The collection, called Scarlett Hearts Reebok, features brightly colored sneakers, short-sleeved hoodies, and tees with heart shaped cutouts. Of the new collection, Scarlett had this to say,
"It's a lifestyle collection," she says. "You can go directly from the gym, slip it on [and] go to meet your friends for coffee."
The collection is available online at Reebok's website. Scarlett has signed on to design for Reebok for at least three more seasons, and she describes her collection as "a mixture of both the ultrafeminine and urban lifestyle." Of course with the combination of the Reebok brand and Scarlett's name, you know the collection isn't low end. The hoodies run from $100, and you can get a baseball tee for $50. If you have the funds, and want to look cute at the gym, head over to Reebok.com and see what they have to offer.

Covergirls...Rachel McAdams does Elle Mag

Rachel McAdams - Elle Magazine

Actress Rachel McAdams is featured in the April issue of Elle magazine. I really liked her layout, much better than March's Jessica Simpson issue. Elle has given Rachel a couture look, different than what she's usually seen in. On the cover, Rachel is wearing Beyonce's Armani Prive Osacar dress. I'd read online that the dress was actually mint green, but the pictures of Bey didn't show that. On Elle's cover, you can clearly see that the dress is indeed mint.

Inside the mag, Rachel's wearing another dress that was seen on the Oscar red carpet. She wears Kirsten Dunst's much maligned Chanel couture gown. I think Rachel pulls the look off much better than Kirsten. This is a dress that requires a certain attitude to pull off; if you look uncomfortable in it, like Kirsten, that's gonna come across. I was never a fan of Rachel's pink hair, but in this photo shoot, it's not too bad. In some of the pictures, it actually adds to the overall look.

Paris Fashion Week 2007...Valentino

Paris Fashion Week 2007 - Valentino

This runway season vintage looks, more specifically the forties, have been a big theme, and Valentino's fall ready-to-wear collection continues the trend. This collection was a favorite of mine, because the styles are so sophisticated; I'm instantly reminded of old Hollywood glam. First up in the collection was day-wear, which featured shifts with puff sleeves made of fur, and wool coats with beaded hems. My favorite piece, shown above, featured a leopard print fur cardigan and a fur bubble skirt. Although the outfit isn't practical by any means, it is instantly fabulous (hopefully the fur's faux).

While the day-wear was feminine and sophisticated, it was the evening-wear that was truly glamorous. Valentino is one of the few designers that still show 70 outfits on the runway, so there were many beautiful gowns to look at. My favorite piece (bottom row, far right) was a cream gown, knotted in the center with bead-work featured in the dress' cut outs. To view Valentino's entire fall ready-to-wear collection, check out Elle.com.

Kylie Does H&M

Kylie Minogue - H&M

First they teamed up with Madonna; now H&M is using songstress Kylie Minogue as its muse to create a bohemian chic beachwear line. The new line, which will be called 'H&M Loves Kylie,' is said to be inspired by Australia's relaxed, sporty beach-life, and will feature glam looks with metallic accents. In a press release, this is what H&M had to say about their new endeavor:
The 'H&M loves Kylie' line is part of H&M’s main swimwear range and contains fifteen styles which will be in all H&M stores that sell womenswear in mid May. 'When we think Australia and glamour we think Kylie, who is such a stylish person,' says H&M’s head of design Margareta van den Bosch.
Not only was H&M's new collection inspired by Kylie, but naturally she will also be the face of the upcoming beach campaign. "It has been a great experience to work with H&M on creating this summer range. To me it is all about summer indulgence, effortless chic and lots of fun!" says Kylie Minogue. With the addition of 'M by Madonna' and now 'H&M Loves Kylie,' H&M is setting itself up to be a fashion standard. Hopefully both of their new campaigns will be successful.

Scarlett Johansson for Louis Vuitton

Scarlett Johansson - Louis Vuitton

A few days ago I posted Uma Thurman's ads for Louis Vuitton, and a reader (thanks Kristin!) was kind enough to point to me that Scarlett Johansson is actually the current spokes model for the Louis Vuitton Spring 07 collection. While Uma's ads were dark and moody, Scarlett's are bright and cheery. And also unlike Uma's ads, the Louis Vuitton handbags are prominently displayed in Scarlett's. I'm particularly fond of the white bag that's featured in two of the ads; white bags are going to big this spring/summer. I enjoy Scarlett Johansson as an actress, and I think she's achieved a lot in her career considering her young age. The trend of celebrities selling merchandise isn't anything new, but I think Scarlett Johansson and Louis Vuitton are a exceptionally good fit.

ANTM Cycle 8...So It Begins

America's Next Top Model - Cycle 8

Last night marked the premiere of America's Next Top Model Cycle 8. Every 'cycle' I can usually tell if I'll make it to the end solely off the first episode. Cycle 7, I didn't make it through. The girls were soooooo boring. If they'd have kept Kathleen I could've guaranteed that I'd would make it through this season. The girl was hilarious, especially when she was talking about if she for or against fur. For those of you who missed the ep, check out Rich at FourFour, he does excellent recaps that are posted every Monday. But to give a quick recap, once the girls were chosen, their photoshoot challenge was to depict a controversial issue and it's less controversial counterpart, i.e. gay marriage and straight marriage, pro life and pro choice, etc. My dear Kathleen, with her Brooklyn accent, got sent home because she failed to convey the passion of being against fur. You can view the pictures below, and judge for yourself.

P.S. If you hover over the pics with your mouse, you'll see the girl's name plus her controversial issue.

Courtney Love...Wears Designer Knock-Offs?!?

Courtney Love - Chanel KnockoffCourtney Love - Chanel Knockoff

Courtney Love recently wore a Chanel dress to Paris Hilton's birthday party. The frock she wore was part of the designer's Spring couture collection. But when Chanel officials saw pictures of Courtney wearing the dress, they were immediately alarmed. You see, the only sample of the dress in the world is hanging in a closet in Paris, and it was not lent out to Love. That's right, Courtney's dress was a fake, all the way down to her fingerless gloves. According to her publicist, Alan Nierob, Courtney was sent many dresses from various sources to wear during Oscar weekend, and the fake Chanel dress was among the bunch. It is rumored that Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel's chief designer, is furious, afraid that clients will mistake Courtney's imitation dress for the real deal. While Chanel is deciding if they will take any action, Courtney's publicist says that they don't know who sent the dress, but that Courtney is sorry for the mishap.

Paris Fashion Week 2007...Christian Dior

Paris Fashion Week 2007 - Christian Dior

Sigh, yet another fashion week, but I'm not complaining. I love looking at the beautiful designer creations that I'll never own, lol . When Paris held its Couture Fashion Week earlier this year, Christian Dior's geisha themed show was easily my favorite. If you took out all of the 'fanciful' elements of the Dior Couture show, then you'd be left with their fall ready-to-wear collection. What I love most about the collection is the color palette used. Bold colors such as fuscia, cobalt blue, and lime green, aren't usually found in your traditional fall palette. With the use of these intense colors combined with ultra feminine lines such as multi-teired ruffle skirts, John Galliano, the chief designer at Dior, has completely reinvented the fall wardrobe. In addition, you must check out the footwork on these models. I swear their heels have to be at least six inches. They're granted temporary batch-status just for being able to walk the runway. I loved Dior's couture show, and I've fallen in love with their fall ready-to-wear collection.
