Beyonce' Knowles is the April cover girl of Vogue magazine. I've always thought Beyonce is at her beautiful best when her hair and makeup is kept to a minimum, and that's just the look she rocked on her Vogue debut. Sporting a pulled back ponytail, minimal makeup, and a blue dress, Beyonce graces the cover of the mag's annual Shape issue. How do you think Bey looks on the cover of Vogue? And are you as surprised as I am that Vogue featured ladies of color on back to back issues of the mag (with March's cover girl being First Lady Michelle Obama)?

My Name is Norell Alesse, and I'm just a recent college grad who has a thing for fashion, specifically celebrity fashion. Unlike those celebs, though, I don't have a personal stylist, lol. So for those of you like me, who are doing your fashion on your own, I try to help you stay up on trends, and look as fab as the celebs. Just think of me as your personal stylist :) .

Absolutely agree with you about her lookin her best when she plays it down. Beyonce is a beautiful woman- her eyes are gorgeous-she doesn't need to be aged by heavy makeup and over the top weaves. In this pic she looks fresh, young and healthy. Great picture
Also agree about 2 black women on the cover, it will hopefully, soon be a point where it is of no issue at all, we just take it as 'the norm'
ugh. i love bey but i am an avid fashion reader and i think the cover of vogue should be best left to models (who work their butts off just to be considered) and of course, first ladies. iono, kinda like how bey thinks she should be diva status already and no one else thinks so? that's how i feel about her vogue cover. she isn't ready.
lulu, valid point but isn't it better to see 'normal' women in fashion magazines also? Afterall, we normal women are he ones who are buying this stuff too? I love high spec avant garde fashion editorials as much as the next gal, but when a 'normal' woman holds her own amongst the amazonians, it a blessed relief! :-)
I don't agree with lulu. Vogue is about what's the epitome of in for me and I think Beyonce deserved her right to be on the cover, especially when I just remembered they choose Blake Lively as their cover girl just months ago.
I was also a little surprised when I saw her on the cover, but hey, time's changing!
