Say What? Amy Winehouse is Roberto Cavalli's New Muse?

amy-winehouse-grammy

The fashion world's abuzz with rumors that Amy Winehouse has been offered a deal with designer Roberto Cavalli. Per the rumored agreement, Winehouse would receive Cavalli's creations for free as long as she wore them to high profile events. Fashion houses make these types of deals with celebrities all the time, but is Amy Winehouse, in her current state, who you want to represent your brand? I'm not going to knock the hustle though, if Cavalli wants Amy, then so be it, lol. I'm sure you're wondering how this match up came to be. Well, apparently, Victoria Beckham, whom Cavalli dressed for the Spice Girls tour, mentioned to the designer that she like Amy's unique style. Who knew that being on Posh's radar could be so lucrative?

Positively Glowing...Halle Berry Shines at Cavalli for H&M

halle berry - roberto cavalli - h&m

Halle Berry has got to be one of the most beautiful pregnant women ever. If you thought she was beautiful before the pregnancy, check her out now! Halle is radiant at the launch of designer Roberto Cavalli's line for H&M. Celebrity pregnancies have definitely been a catalyst for change as far as maternity wear is concerned. Mommies to be are no longer forced to wear shapeless and unattractive clothes just because they're pregnant. Halle's black, floor length gown would be perfect for almost anyone, pregnant or not. The empire waist works great for showcasing your growing baby. Or for those of us not with child, the empire waist hides round stomachs. It's a paradox I know, lol, but it's true. It's been great watching Halle Berry's maternity style, and I'm excited to see what she'll come up with next.

Week's Most Stylish Batch

I recently started doing Batch of the Month posts, but these are regular women who are doing extraordinary things. So I thought I'd start doing Week's Most Stylish Batch, focusing on the celeb who I feel was the week's best dressed. It'll be a simple post, a picture, a who, a when, and a where. To start things off I've chosen Miss Beyonce Knowles.

For her Back to Basics world tour, beginning February 20th in Houston, singer Christina Aguilera will be wearing costumes designed by Roberto Cavalli. The outfits will be designed around the circus theme of the tour, but will also reference different eras, including the 40s, 50s, and 60s. It is said that Cavalli has already designed ten costumes for Aguilera, and is currently working on looks for her backup dancers.
According to Women's Wear Daily, some of the outfits include a Forties-style white stretch satin tuxedo, bordered with golden pearls and topped with a white fox stole; a Fifties-inspired satin silk bustier and printed, gold-leaf and crystal adorned silk taffeta skirt; a Sixties-inspired suit embroidered all over, and a tailored jacket with embroidered tails to be paired with a red and black Swarovski adorned bustier.
